Powers of Attorney For Property

Wills only apply after a person dies.  A POA only applies while a person is alive.  A POA for Property allows another person to perform transactions on your behalf while you are mentally incapable, physically unable, or perhaps unavailable to act on your own behalf.

A POA for Property can be very handy in the event that a person becomes incapable of acting of their own behalf.

Without a POA for Property, in the event of incapacity, the government could take control of your affairs and/or you and your family could encounter delays and difficulties in regaining control of your own property
